I started this newsletter in 1997. I am still looking but 1999 is the only year I have been able to locate. The first two images are of the (first) front (then) back of the newsletter for January 1999. .

Now, a year has passed and I, think, I am using a different publishing software. Over the past year I have taken to adding; recipes (sound familiar?), and an editorial column. This was the very last newsletter that I published for Plaza Woods, and the very last newsletter the residents of Plaza Woods ever received. Reason, on January 1st, 2000 I was fired @ 3AM. That’s right. My apartment was adjoined to the office and at 3AM I was waken by someone going through my office. I put on my bathrobe, went to the office to see what was going on… it was the owner and an armed security guard.
.
I was being terminated for “Insubordination”. The previous day I had requested to be paid for the previous year of; writing, editing, and publishing the newsletter and web site. In January we had agreed to $1,200.00 a year to cover my work on both publications. I had maintained the web site, even adding an application process (in 1999) and managed to publish a newsletter all twelve months. I was in the office, the day before, and he told me “I do not feel that I should have to pay you for doing the newsletter and web site. As manager I now think they should be a part of your job…” Needless to say I was outraged at the theft of $1,200.00! I expressed my discontent and invited the owner (Mr. Charlie Roy) to “find a manager that would do; maintenance, leasing, rent deposits and spreadsheet, and publish a monthly newsletter and web site for the $12,000.00 a year he was paying me.
.
He fired me, and he never had a newsletter again. Greed is an awfuyl thing. And, like a shotgun it harms innocents with its spray of lead.

Below are the four pages of the very last issue of the Plaza Woods Courier.
