Welcome back My Dear Shoevians to The Other Shoe. It is not often when I share meteorological information and images here at The Other Shoe. However, with the greatly increasing ocean temperatures (the Indian and Pacific oceans featured in this article) and the rapid progression of 'Global Warming' I image that this will become a more and more frequent event. First, My Dear Shoevians, I simply must apologize for my absence the past three days. I have spent the past seventy-two hours engulfed in some of the most horrific pain I have ever experienced in my entire life. Yes, it is my neck, and I have found new meaning to the expression 'Pain in my neck'!
.
Now, with that aside, I take you back one day to Sunday and I take you to the Center/Eastern region of the Pacific ocean. On Sunday; weather channels, NASA, NOAA and (virtually) every news agency was made aware of what I am about to explain to you, MY Dear Shoevians. As most of you are aware, the ocean temperatures in the Indian and Pacific oceans have increased drastically over the past five to ten years. In just the past year they have risen two degrees!
.
This is all a part of our 'Global Warming' problem resulting from drastically increased amounts of carbon Di-oxide (CO2). Trapping this gas causes earth's atmosphere and oceans to warm. This has, now, become most evident in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Resulting in Sunday's news.

The image, above, comes from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and clearly shows the THREE category FOUR hurricanes in the central and eastern Pacific ocean. They are named, from lef to right, Kilo, Ignacio and Jimena. When this image was taken all three were category four hurricanes. According the the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale a category four hurricane = 130-156n mph winds resulting in “Catastrophic Damage will Occur”3
.
Well-built framed homes can sustain severe damage with loss of most of the roof structure and/or some exterior walls. Most trees will be snapped or uprooted and power poles downed. Fallen trees and power poles will isolate residential areas. Power outages will last weeks to possibly months. Most of the area will be uninhabitable for weeks or months.”4
.
Now, My Dear Shoevians, this is a historic event, meaning that at not time in recorded history have three category four hurricanes occurred in the Pacific ocean. EVER!
.
In a historic development this weekend, three major hurricanes were recorded over the Pacific Ocean for the first time since records have been kept.
Hurricane Kilo, Hurricane Ignacio and Hurricane Jimena were all classified as Category 4 storms on Sunday, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), the second highest classification on the Saffir-Simpson scale. It was the first time on record that there were three Category 4 hurricanes in the Pacific at the same time, and the first time three major hurricanes—defined as Category 3 or higher—were recorded over the Pacific, according to Weather.com”5

Now, for all my; readers, friends, Facebook friend/followers and others that are (currently, I have hope for everyone) are members of the '21st Century Flat-Earth Society' = people that (as of yet) do not understand 'Global Warming' science this event is a direct result of rising ocean temperatures and the 'Super El Nino' in the Pacific ocean. In other words, this historicevent of three category FOUR hurricanes forming at the same time in the central and eastern Pacific ocean is a direct result of 'Global Warming'. Now, if you don't want to take my word for this science, here is a quote from meteorologist Chris Robbins, a former NHC forecaster and founder of Robbins Meteorological Consulting.
.
“Sea surface temperatures are extremely warm, averaging 2 to 5 degrees above normal,...”

My Dear Shoevians, all Americans need to come to grips with this reality. The reality that is 'Global Warming'. From the research that I have conducted, regarding 'Global Warming',Americans are behind the rest of the world in acceptance of the science of 'Global Warming'. Whereas Europeans have, generally, accepted this science and acted accordingly America has the largest group of 'Climate Change Deniers' of the western world. Even I have faced the uninformed and ill-informed Americans (generally self-identified'Conservatives/Republicans') within my circle of friends on Facebook. Granted, the large majority of my Facebook friends accept the science of global warming I too even experience the arrogant ignorance of this small minority. It is unfortunate that America finds itself to the the home of these 'Science-Deniers'. However, it seems to go hand-in-glove with the 'bury-your-head-in-the-sand mentality that is all too common among America's current conservatives and viewers of Fox (faux snooze).

Since their discovery, on Sunday, Hurricane Ignacio, weakened Monday to a Category 2 storm with winds of 105 mph. While Kilo and Jimena has kept their category four status, as of the publication of this article. Hurricane Ignacio is set to pass northeast of Honolulu through Wednesday and slowly decrease to a category one status. The other two will be tracked, but are not expected to make landfall at any point. I will do my best to keep following this story and make all of you, My Dear Shoevians, aware of any changes or if any of these three make landfall.
.

.
That about wraps it up for this Monday's historic weather news. As always, My Dear Shoevians, if you have enjoyed this article? I ask that you 'Like' and 'Share' it with all your; family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances via your social media. This is the best way for more and more people to learn about The Other Shoe and likewise enjoy and become informed.
.
Adieu!
.
Thank you!
